01 — THE ITCH
Planning a trip with friends should be the fun part. For us it was mostly scrolling.
Every group trip we planned lived in a chat thread with four hundred messages, three spreadsheets, and one person quietly paying for everything.
02 — WHAT WE BUILT
One shared plan per trip: dates, places, and a running budget that splits itself. Everyone can suggest, and the group votes with a simple yes, maybe, or no.
I built the first version over a long weekend and spent the next year making it simpler.
03 — WHAT I LEARNED
- Money features need the most kindness in their copy.
- A vote beats a debate, almost every time.
- Your friends are your harshest and best beta testers.
